This story is told in three different time periods. The first one, in the mid-1990s, has a teenage girl alone in a snow-filled wilderness facing a horrible fate.
In the modern day of 2021, twenty-five years after the High School girls soccer team got stuck in the snowy wilderness, the crash survivors have faded into obscurity. A journalist ( Rekha Sharma ) tracks down adult Shauna Sheridan ( Melanie Lynskey ) and interviews her.
In flashbacks to before the crash, Jackie ( Ella Purnell ) is the team captain.

Adult Misty ( Christina Ricci ) has not stepped out of her childhood shell. For better or worse, adult Natalie ( Juliette Lewis ) tracks her down. They team up for mutual benefit.
Adult Shauna Sheridan ( Melanie Lynskey ) goes to marriage counselling with her husband. She also meets a man in a fender-bender incident, and has a possible opportunity to cheat.
In the flashbacks, we finally see the crash and its immediate aftermath. The plane was a small charter hire aircraft, and they cheaped out on the alcoholic beverages so they might have skimped on vital survival gear as well. At least the episode shows why the Black Box's transponder stops working.
