The Tick is a comically low-IQ individual with a superhero costume - and apparently the superpowers to match. Unfortunately his low IQ holds him back, so the people he thinks he is helping send him to the Big City in the hope he can make himself useful there.

Arthur is a mild-mannered accountant who choses to become a superhero. Well, he is a generic protagonist like in the Cubicle movies of 1999. Unfortunately his boss, Mr Fishladder (Christopher Lloyd - Back to the Future ), fires him.

A horde of commie terrorists unleash a Cold War super-weapon, a killer robot programmed to attack POTUS Jimmy Carter. The dynamic duo must save the day.

The Immortal (Sam McMurray - ), the greatest superhero in the USA, visits the big City. Captain Liberty ( Liz Vassey ) is his official escort. She takes him to her apartment and accidentally screws him to death, so the Dynamic Duo must sneak his body back into his own hotel room. This leaves Batmanuel (Nestor Carbonell - Lost ) to pretend to be The Immortal at a book-signing event.

The dynamic duo meet fellow heroes Fiery Blaze (Ron Perlman - Hellboy ) and his sidekick, Friendly Fire (Patrick Breen - Legends of Tomorrow ). This gives our heroes the chance to meet like-minded persons. While Blaze encourages the Tick to be more selfish, Arthur discovers that Fire is in an abusive relationship.

Captain Liberty ( Liz Vassey ) is lonely so she buys a puppy. Well, the store clerk will not entrust a high-maintenance pet to a high-maintenance woman, so she gets Batmanuel (Nestor Carbonell - Lost ) to get her a dog instead.

The Tick does not have an official Superhero licence and registration, so Arthur helps him file some forms at the DMV. Since The Tick has no idea of his original human identity, they have to report him to the Police's missing persons unit. A woman identifies him as her husband.

Captain Liberty ( Liz Vassey ) got robot grease on her costume, so she leaves it off at the dry-cleaner. Without her costume she is taken for a civilian, and she ends up on a date with a normal man.

Captain Liberty ( Liz Vassey ) tries to stop the publication of Peek-A-Boo magazine. Some nude photos of her have been published. In the modern day we would say she was the victim of revenge porn, Luckily Batmanuel (Nestor Carbonell - Lost ) offers to help her.

Arthur meets Stacey Waxman ( Miss Pyle ), who he used to know in High School. Now he has a chance to make good on his teenage desires. Unfortunately the Tick is a third wheel.

Arthur has take his super-suit to the laundromat. Much like Janet a couple of episodes ago, it appears that Arthur does not have a spare costume.

The Tick and Arthur are invited to join the League of Superheroes. The Champion has a familiar look, with a letter on his chest and a love-curl on his forehead.

Captain Liberty ( Liz Vassey ) is unhappy about being left out of the League, so she gets Batmanuel (Nestor Carbonell - Lost ) to help her with a class action lawsuit. They get the best lawyer in town. What nobody realises is … he is the secret identity of The Champion!

The team finally take a super-villain to court. They recount the events that led them into conflict with Destroyo (Kurt Fuller - ).

Captain Liberty ( Liz Vassey ) is assigned to guard Destroyo while he is in his cell. This leads on to a parody of Silence of the Lambs .

Batmanuel (Nestor Carbonell - Lost ) has to protect Arthur from Destroyo's ninja assassins.

Arthur reminisces over the last year, to the events following the Apocalypse Cow incident at the end of the opening episode. Captain Liberty ( Liz Vassey ) was unhappy, so she gave the Tick the phone-number of super-villain The Terror (Armin Shimmerman - Star Trek: DS9 ).
