The regular duo and a couple of technicians set up in the haunted house for the night.

Powers of Darkness
Tom Crane (James Hazeldine) visits his brother in hospital. Dr Anne Reynolds ( Louise Jameson ) is along for moral support. By incredible coincidence, another patient is in hospital because of a seance that went wrong. The scientists must save someone who has been possessed by the ghost of a witch who was burned 400 years earlier.
The climax is a psychic battle between Crane and a demon. It is shot in a suspenseful tone, more reminiscent of silent cinema than more modern SPFX-intensive works. And the ending adds a new layer to the story. Who can Crane really trust?
Omega Factor (1979) [Season 1, Episode 6]
Child's Play
Dr Anne Reynolds ( Louise Jameson ) visits her friend in the countryside. Tom Crane (James Hazeldine) is along for moral support. The boy is subject to unusual experiences. Crane thinks a poltergeist is responsible. The boss Roy Martindale (John Carlisle) thinks the boy is a telekinetic, and tries to conduct experiments on the boy.
Crane is against the boy getting tested. This seems stupid, since the boy may have a superpower and thus it makes sense to train and observe him. However, the Government has its own agenda.
Another interested party is also involved. They have rings with the Omega symbol on them.
Omega Factor (1979) [Season 1, Episode 7]
St. Anthony's Fire

Sir Willoughby (Charles Lloyd Pack - ), the Permanent Undersecretary, plans a trip to the Republic of Africa. However, he is unable to attend. His deputy, Townsend, is left in charge.

Crane starts to see glimpses of a distant figure with the hair and red jacket of his supposedly deceased wife. Not unlike Don't look Now . He does not know who to trust. He moves in with Dr Anne Reynolds ( Louise Jameson ), but she always takes Martindale's side in arguments. He flies down to London to confide in Scott-Erskine.
Martindale has a new cow-orker, Vashrevsky (Philip Locke - ). He is a mysterious and somewhat creepy East European type. It turns out that he and martindale know more about what is going on.

Illusions
An East German scientist who specialises in weaponising ESP, Dr Bruckner, has defected to London. However, his babysitter Rossiter goes missing and the hotel staff claim he never existed. Later, a mysterious woman claims that she is Rossiter's replacement. She is clearly a False Flag agent, but who is she really working for?
Scott-Erskine arrives in Edinburgh to lead the hunt for Bruckner. He holds a secret meeting in the apartment of Dr Anne Reynolds ( Louise Jameson ). Even though Tom Crane (James Hazeldine) moved out, he still hangs around there.
Martindale monologues Crane about his intentions. However, their confrontation takes an unusual twist. This episode ties up a bunch of plot threads. However, it ends on something of a cliffhanger.
The show never got a proper conclusion. Mary Whitehouse, leader of the UK's reactionary pro-censorship lobby, labeled the show as pure evil and had it banned.
