Battle Royale
This is a Japanese film based on a manga comic.
Set in a dystopian future (like most Sci-Fi films post-9/11, or even post-Y2k) this features a randomly selected class of schoolchildren who are dropped on an island.
They are each given a random weapon (only one pistol and one uzi),
and left to fight to the death!
The result is teenage drama as only the Japanese can do it. Think Grange Hill with a massive body count!
